The wholesale cloth trade, one of the oldest businesses in the city.
Mumbai's wholesale trade is arranged by market rather than by district: cloth in one, electricals in another, spices in a third, each with hundreds of independent houses inside it. Most of them sit within the old city between Fort and Dadar, close enough to work in a morning.
