Co-operative Banks at Bandra Kurla Complex

Where much of the newer banking and regulatory establishment now sits.

Co-operative Banks at Bandra Kurla Complex

The urban co-operative sector, strongest in Maharashtra and centred on this city.

Mumbai is India's banking capital. The Reserve Bank of India sits here, and so do the head offices of the State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of India and Central Bank of India, along with the India head offices of the foreign banks and the country's payments infrastructure. The money market, the regulator and the corporate client base are all in the same few square kilometres, and the head offices followed them.
